Voebe De Gruyter (Den Haag, 1960)

When Voebe de Gruyter was a child she often visited the Abdij van Averbode with her family to eat ice cream. She was 15 when she noticed that only two flavors of ice-cream were sold: mocha and … Continue reading

Hans op de Beeck (1969, Belgium)

Staging Silence (2009) ‘Staging Silence’ is based around abstract, archetypal settings that lingered in the memory of the artist as the common denominator of the many similar public places he has experienced. The video images themselves are both ridiculous … Continue reading

Dan Perjovschi (Romania 1961~)

Joao Maria Gusmao and Pedro Paiva (1979/1977 Portugal)

“Since 2001, João Maria Gusmão and Pedro Paiva have collaborated on the creation of enigmatic, lyrical photographs and sculptures, but most prominently they work in 16mm silent film. Through their investigations … Continue reading

Harun Farocki ( 1944~ Germany)
